Our classes last one hour and follow a simple, effective structure. We always start with a few minutes of warm-up to refresh the basic steps and get back into the rhythm. Then we review what we did in the previous classes and gradually add something new.
Lessons are mostly alternated between salsa and bachata, with a slightly bigger focus on Cuban salsa, as it’s a more complex and technical dance. From time to time we also do rueda de casino, often at the end of the class, to finish on a fun and energetic note.
Because we are two teachers and a couple, we can clearly demonstrate specific movements from both the leader’s and follower’s perspective, which is not always the case in every class. We always try to give personalised tips and help refine steps and figures whenever we can, so everyone can make progress at their own pace—while having a good time.
